Processing of personal data in the context of business activities.

milija GmbH uses your personal data and order data for the entire processing of your purchase or reservation as well as for any subsequent warranties, for services, technical administration and for its own marketing purposes. Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties for advertising purposes.

Your correct name, address and payment details are required for your order. You will also receive your order and shipping confirmation via your e-mail address. milija GmbH uses the data provided by you to fulfill and process your order.

Your personal data will only be passed on or transmitted to third parties if this is necessary for the purpose of contract processing or invoicing or if you have given your prior consent. We do not pass on your payment details to anyone else to process the payment for the purchase of an item. For payments by credit card or TWINT, you will be redirected to the encrypted payment page of the relevant payment provider.

If milija GmbH makes advance payments, e.g. in the case of a purchase on account, milija GmbH may obtain a credit check from a credit agency on the basis of mathematical-statistical procedures in order to safeguard its legitimate interests. 4. Processing of data when visiting websites

You can visit the websites https://www.milija.ch and http://www.milija.eu without providing any personal data.

Only the following data is stored:

  • Access data without personal reference, such as the name of your Internet provider
  • The page from which you visit milija or the name of the requested file. This data is evaluated solely to improve the service and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person. The following paragraphs provide information on the processing of personal data.
  • Usage data from visiting the websites
  • IP address of your devices (as soon as they are on the homepage)
  • Usage data generated by your use of the website (log files) and the apps (such as frequency and duration of visits, time and date of visit, preferred default settings, search terms and results, etc.).
  • or other data required for processing the business relationship or responding to an inquiry.

4.1 Log files

Each time the pages are accessed, usage data is transmitted by the respective Internet browser and stored in log files, the so-called server log files. The stored data records contain the following data: Date and time of access, name of the page accessed, IP address, referrer URL (origin URL from which you came to the website), the amount of data transferred, as well as product and version information of the browser used.

The IP addresses of the users are deleted or anonymized after the end of use. In the case of anonymization, the IP addresses are changed in such a way that the individual details about personal or factual circumstances can no longer be assigned to a specific or identifiable natural person, or only with a disproportionate amount of time, cost and manpower.

milija GmbH evaluates these log file data records in anonymized form in order to further improve the offer in the online store and make it more user-friendly, to find and correct errors more quickly and to control server capacities. In addition, any errors in the online store can be identified and rectified more quickly by analyzing the log files.

4.2 Cookies

Cookies are used on various pages to make visiting the website more attractive and to enable the use of certain functions. These are small text files that are stored on your computer. Most of the cookies used are deleted from your hard disk at the end of the browser session (so-called session cookies).

You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin.

Accepting cookies is not a prerequisite for visiting the website. However, milija GmbH would like to point out that the use of the shopping cart function and the ordering of products is only possible if cookies are activated.

4.3 Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by cookies about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing a browser plug-in (see section 4.2 Cookies).

4.4 Use of social plugins

Our websites use social plug-ins, e.g. from Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, etc. As a result, buttons of the corresponding providers are displayed, e.g. the “Like” button of Facebook, or content of the respective provider is integrated on the website. When you visit a website that uses such a social plug-in, your browser establishes a connection with the provider in question. The content of the social plug-in is transmitted from the provider in question to your browser, which integrates it into the website in question. Through this process, the provider in question receives, in particular, the information that your browser has accessed the website in question and the IP address of the device used, even if you do not have an account with the provider.

If you are logged in to the provider in question at the same time, the provider can assign the visit to your personal profile. If you interact with a social plug-in – for example If you click on a “Like” button or leave a comment, the corresponding information will be transmitted from your browser to the provider in question and stored there. It may also be published on your profile with the provider in question and displayed to your contacts. Even if you visit our social media pages (e.g. Facebook fan pages), personal data may be transmitted directly to the provider in question or collected and stored by them. The provider of the social network in question is primarily responsible for processing this data. If we are jointly responsible with the provider in question, we will enter into a corresponding agreement with them, the main content of which you can find out about from the provider. Further information on data processing by social network providers can be found in the privacy policies of the relevant social networks (e.g. Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram).

This website uses so-called social plugins (“plugins”) of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). The plugins are marked with a Facebook logo or the addition “Social plugin from Facebook” or “Facebook Social Plugin”. An overview of the Facebook plugins and their appearance can be found here: developer plugins

When you visit a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection with the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Facebook directly to your browser, which integrates it into the website.

By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of the website, even if you do not have a Facebook account or are not currently logged in to Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there.

If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can directly associate your visit to the website with your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the “Like” button or leaving a comment, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on Facebook and displayed to your Facebook friends.

Facebook can use this information for the purposes of advertising, market research and the needs-based design of Facebook pages. For this purpose, Facebook creates usage, interest and relationship profiles, e.g. to evaluate your use of our website with regard to the advertisements displayed to you on Facebook, to inform other Facebook users about your activities on our website and to provide other services associated with the use of Facebook.

If you do not want Facebook to assign the data collected via our website to your Facebook account, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website.

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy can be found in Facebook’s data protection information.

5. Customer account

milija GmbH sets up a password-protected direct access to the inventory data stored at milija GmbH (customer account) for every customer who registers. Here you can view data about your completed, open and recently sent orders and manage your address data and the newsletter.

You undertake to treat the personal access data confidentially and not to make it accessible to unauthorized third parties. milija GmbH cannot accept any liability for misused passwords, unless milija GmbH is responsible for the misuse.

Please note that the information you provide in your customer account must be truthful. Misuse or the use of information or customer profiles that do not correspond to the truth may be punishable by law.

6. Identity and credit check when selecting Billpay payment methods

If you choose one of the payment options with Billpay GmbH, you will be asked during the ordering process to consent to the transmission of the data required for processing the payment and for an identity and credit check to Billpay. If you give your consent, your data (first and last name, street, house number, zip code, city, date of birth, telephone number) and the data in connection with your order will be transmitted to Billpay.

For the purpose of its own identity and credit checks, Billpay or partner companies commissioned by Billpay transmit data to credit agencies (credit agencies) and receive information from them and, if applicable, creditworthiness information based on mathematical-statistical procedures, the calculation of which includes address files. Detailed information on this and on the credit agencies used can be found in Billpay GmbH’s privacy policy.

Furthermore, Billpay may use third-party tools to detect and prevent fraud. Data obtained with these tools may be stored by third parties in encrypted form so that they can only be read by Billpay. This data is only used if you select a payment method from our cooperation partner Billpay, otherwise the data expires automatically after 30 minutes.
